Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

DigDeal is operated by members of Academia and Engineering Association in Australia (AEAA, Australian Entity, ABN: 61478431670). We provide an Australian bargain-property search service. Questions? Email privacy@aeaa.net.au.

2. What we collect

• Search queries you type or speak. When the AI assistant is enabled, your free-text query is sent to the configured AI provider (Google Gemini or Cloudflare Workers AI) to be interpreted. We do not permanently store these queries.
• Usage analytics. Standard, anonymised server logs (pages viewed, approximate region by IP) used only to improve the service.
• Local preferences. Saved searches / watchlist are kept in your browser's local storage on your own device, not on our servers.

3. What we do NOT do

• We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
• We do not require an account to search.
• When the AI assistant is disabled (default behavior if no provider key is configured), your query is parsed entirely in your browser and never leaves the device.

4. Third-party processors

If you enable the AI assistant, your query text is processed by one of:

• Google Gemini — governed by Google's privacy policy.
• Cloudflare Workers AI — governed by Cloudflare's privacy policy.

Property data shown on DigDeal is sourced from public and licensed Australian datasets (e.g. Domain, ABS, state valuers-general) and is not personal information.

5. Your rights

Under the Australian Privacy Act you may request access to, or correction of, any personal information we hold about you. To exercise this right, email the address in section 1.

We will post any changes to this page and update the "Last updated" date above.
